heaven and hell.

today was the epitome of a wonderful lazy weekend day. woke up when the sun was about halfway through its journey. went to mere’s and watched the life aquatic, ate cupcakes, took a few naps, worked on stuff here and there. and currently i’m polishing off a bottle of wine before hitting up vertigo. we’ll see how that goes.

i’m indirectly watching (over tommy’s shoulder) a breakdown of racism in disney movies, a la a ton of youtube clips and discussions. it’s amazing how much youtube has revolutionized the internet. also, i decided i need to re-watch a lot of these disney movies that probably shaped and molded my childhood. the only one i’ve seen in recent years is robin hood, which was just as wonderful as i remembered. those hand-drawn whimsical movies had great heart, substance. children’s movies haven’t quite recovered in my mind… however i’m sure the next generation will probably say that about their children’s movies.
